The Company
Our History
In 1989, the company functioned
essentially as a research and development function of its
parent company, Reell Precision Manufacturing
(RPM). A
handful of engineers, technicians, and spring makers
developed a cutting edge - and later patented - spring
winding technology and manufacturing process that was well
ahead of the industry.
While Reell had the primary need for
this technology, a vision of expansion led to the decision
to establish a wholly owned subsidiary, Vadnais Technologies
Corporation (VTC). First moving into its own location
in 1992, VTC then incorporated in 1994. The focus of
the organization at that time was growth in the precision
spring market. However, early efforts led to the
development of superior coil winding technology for the
medical device industry.
In August of 2004 Vadnais Technologies joined with W. C. Heraeus to form Heraeus Vadnais, Inc. (HVT).
The Medical Components Division of W. C. Heraeus develops, produces and distributes a wide range of primarily implantable, metal-based products for the medical industry. The synergies in company philosophy and broad availability of technology and advanced material sourcing will allow us to provide you an extensive range of sophisticated product solutions. Today
Our primary business model is focusing on medical device
assemblies and coils. We have created an
infrastructure to aid our customers in their most
challenging development projects. Currently HVT
operates 7 days a week with production almost around the
clock. Approximately one-third of our 32,000 square
foot facility is clean room. More than 100 coworkers
are ready to support our customers around the world, ranging
in size from start-ups to Fortune 100
corporations.
Tomorrow
HVT has laid the groundwork to be
a stable supplier to you, our customer. Our coworkers
have available to them a broad range of training and
education opportunities, including on-the-job orientation
and training, statistical process control, leadership,
communication, and team-building. We actively encourage
participation in our education assistance programs.
